What do you like most about working at Penrod?
The people who work at Penrod are definitely the best part. The talent of the people I get to work with every day has made me the leader I am today.
What advice would you give to recent new hires?
Teamwork is everything at Penrod. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, everyone you are working with was a new hire at one time also. Don’t be afraid to bring in new ideas either, we are constantly challenging ourselves to be better and punch above our weight classes.
How would you describe Penrod’s company culture?
We have built a culture that allows individuals to work autonomously, but also thriving on the importance of teamwork and mentorship. The team understands both the importance of working hard to achieve the highest quality for our partners and the importance of having fun while they do it. It’s like nothing else I have been apart of before.
Favorite place to grab coffee/an after dinner drink?
For an after dinner drink I really enjoy ‘Club Charlies’ in the Third Ward. When traveling my favorites are ‘Little Woodrows’ in Austin and ‘Lir’ in Boston.

What do you like most about working at Penrod?
It’s hard for me to pick only one thing I like most about working at Penrod, so I’ll give you two. First, the people – everyone is driven and passionate about their job, it really creates a sense of community. Second, the work – I have learned so much at Penrod and have had the opportunity to grow my skill sets as an employee which makes me excited to come to work every day.
What advice would you give to recent new hires?
Embrace the company culture and make it your goal to learn something new every day. We have a fast-paced company, but with the support and passion of your team you have all the tools to succeed in your career.
What’s your favorite travel experience and why?
When I was in college I studied in Rome for a summer. Through that experience I learned that my independence is empowering, my thirst for new experiences is unquenchable, and my love for pizza is everlasting.

Who would you most like to meet and why?
Ernest King – he was the mastermind behind the United States’ naval and marine forces strategy in the Pacific theater of World War Two, and everything I’ve read about him makes him out to be an asshole genius. I think he would have been awesome to hang out with.
What’s your favorite travel experience and why?
I’m spoiled in that my grandparents live in Hawaii, and I spent a couple summers with them when I was younger. As an adult I usually go there for a week or two in early spring. It’s my favorite experience because it’s paradise, and I do maintain some level of consistency with each trip (always visiting Pearl Harbor, Haleiwa, the Pali Lookout) as well as checking out new things, and most importantly, ample time on the beach and in the ocean.
Favorite place to grab coffee/an after dinner drink?
Now that it’s nearly summer, my favorite place to grab a drink is Las Fuentes in Lincoln Park – pitchers of margaritas with a big group on their huge patio for hours.

What piece of advice would you give you other newbies?
Be yourself and be proud of that! There are so many different kinds of people you get to work with and everyone is very accepting.
How would you describe Penrod’s culture?
Really welcoming – from day one everyone was so welcoming and helpful!
What’s your favorite part of being a part of the Penrod team so far?
Being with a group of people who are all brilliant. There is so much fun involved but your entire team is constantly pushing you to grow and become better.
What have you worked on recently that you’re really proud of?
I painted our entire condo and re-did the entire kitchen – I still have paint in my hair.

What’s your favorite dinner spot?
My wife and I moved from NYC to Jersey City soon after we had our son over a year ago. This is such a family-friendly city, there are plenty of comfortable options to choose; however, our go-to is a spot called Hudson Hound – an Irish Pub that is great with the kiddos, has excellent food and drinks, and during the warm months, has a bunch of outdoor tables allowing us to bring our dog along for dinner!
What’s your favorite Holiday Tradition?
Hosting friends and family in NYC to experience the city during Christmas – the Rockefeller tree, Radio City Music Hall, the shops along 5th ave. – it’s quite the experience, and I love to be a tour guide during this beautiful period in the city.
What is your best quality?
Vulnerability – what you see is what you get! I was told to bring my authentic self to Penrod and I look forward to doing just that!
What made you choose Penrod?
Reputation in the Salesforce ecosystem is top notch. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a number of recruiters as a practice lead at several Salesforce consulting firms, and as a result, get inside knowledge on consultant satisfaction and reputation – Penrod scored high and both, which definitely influenced my decision to join.
What’s your favorite place in the world?
Costa Rica – it’s a place my wife and I keep going back to! Last Thanksgiving, we brought our son (6 months old at the time) and met some of our Colorado friends and California Family there to spend a couple of weeks in the jungle.
What advice do you have for new hires?
Consulting is hard. It’s going to offer challenging days and you’re going to face things you haven’t encountered before. Be prepared to tackle these challenges head on, fail sometimes, and learn often. Penrod is comprised of some of the most talented consultants I’ve worked with, so support is always nearby. Prepare yourself for this environment prior to Day 1, embrace it when you’re here, and I promise you’ll grow quickly, learn a ton, and have a bunch of fun along the way!

What do you like most about working at Penrod?
People. Being surrounded by the perfect blend of talent and personality makes diving into new challenges a blast, and offers a lot of room for personal development because there’s so much to learn from those around me.
What advice would you give to recent new hires?
Build relationships with as many people as you can early on. Penrod is all about teamwork, and having trust and rapport with everyone will make asking for help, and working together much easier.
How would you describe Penrod’s company culture?
Penrod’s culture is built around helping each other and having fun. Everyone works incredibly hard and the culture rewards that hard work.
What is your spirit animal and why?
I’ve been told by the Penrod office that I am a Hawk. I quietly circle around, observing everything, and then swoop in to either take action or deliver value when necessary.
