Hearing about the honesty and positivity in the culture was a huge appeal for me, there’s absolutely no ego and everyone has each other’s back. Even while reading the pillars I was getting amped up – and I didn’t even work here yet!
I’m a coffee-fiend; Blackeye Roasting in the Minneapolis skyway knows me by name. Aside from regular black, I’m all about their nitro-cold press! After-dinner drinks, there’s too many breweries in the Twin Cities so you can’t go wrong. I enjoy the cocktail program at Parlour bar too! I love checking out new places for both coffee or drinks.
Freddie Mercury. My entire family and I are huge Queen fans. To see my Dad go full-on fanboy would be ridiculous. My brother and I play guitars/bass and my Dad drums like a maniac… so we’d inevitably have an epic jam session!
I’ve heard good things about the QKO’s
Dogs sneaking up on me from under my desk.
My girlfriend and I went on a month-long road trip out to the West Coast right before I moved to Milwaukee.
Black coffee that’s been sitting out for a solid 45 minutes.
Cooking, traveling and getting my ass kicked in pickup basketball.
Put it in my 401k (jk I’d drop it all on Korean BBQ).

Work hard mentality, opportunity to work on a diverse group of clients, and most importantly the people and culture.
Putting my skills to the test and pushing myself to become better with the knowledge that there is an amazing support network for mentorship and learning.
The environment of the office in Milwaukee. Everyone made me feel immediately at home and welcome!
My first language was Italian, but I can barely speak it anymore.
A small Mexican grocery store in Buffalo that has the best $3 known to mankind.
New Years Eve skiing with my family and friends!

I occasionally swing dance over at the Pabst brewery.
The atmosphere is great. I love that we allow dogs but I especially love how quick and willing people are to respond to me needing help
Everyone was so welcoming! I had a very smooth interview process with a lot of great people and it made me feel like I fit in before even starting.
I’m excited to learn something brand new. Everyone is so willing and eager to help whenever I have a question.
Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant
The unique culture and work environment. Unparalleled to find anything like this place.
A dog. Represent loyalty, curiosity, sociability, and playfulness.
I have a twin brother.
I’ve known about Penrod for sometime now and I’ve always heard good things, but honestly, it was the whole experience interviewing. I met with really intelligent, motivated, and super fun people and I knew I wanted to join a team/company with like minded individuals.
There is so much potential for growth here and they really inspire the employees to constantly push for self improvement.
The people, the culture, and I don’t think a day has gone by yet that I haven’t been laughing the majority of the day. Just a great team.
It’s interesting and quirky; I can whistle, snap, and wink all at the same time.
Capri Suns (they’re stocked in the fridge and I’m going to go get one now!)
It’s hard to pick a favorite spot, but I really like pizza and tacos.
I met Prince Charles in 2001. Nice fella.
It’s all about making this happen… and that’s what I’m about.
Developing and growing the Marketing Services practice. Woo hoo!
Culture, period. It’s a true embodiment of everyone working towards the same goal.

Making new connections, learning new lessons & impacting clients in some profound way.
My Revenue Team. Feels like home.
I sang the National Anthem at a Monster Truck rally in front of thousands of people.

I have the freedom to take action and be creative. From a sales perspective, a set process doesn’t always work. I can test new ideas and tactics and respond to the wants and needs of our customers.
Put yourself in uncomfortable situations where you are forced to learn something. Find something new to learn each week, month, or year and broaden your skill set.
It’s like a cult. We are all passionate about the work we do and are really close as a company.
I love to smile. I think it’s infectious.

Personal freedom and my coworkers.
I would advise them to grow their skill set and find their place at Penrod.
Close-knit family culture that works and plays together.
I choose Penrod because I saw it as a chance for growth. I was starting to hit a wall in terms of what I could learn and surrounding myself with some very bright people and new technologies was just what I needed to take my development skills to the next level.
The people. I tend to get along with just about everyone, and I have yet to meet someone who I wouldn’t enjoy sitting down and having a beer or cocktail with.
I have a pretty ridiculous tolerance for spicy foods. I’ve survived the worlds hottest ramen, a ghost wing eating competition, and the “One Chip Challenge”.
The office cold brew, water, and the occasional Diet Coke
Rice N Roll Bistro in Milwaukee! Amazing sushi and Thai dishes
Watching “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas” with my wife.
I’m pretty easy going and flexible which I think is going to really help me go far here at Penrod!
I chose Penrod because of the culture and the sense of teamwork employees embody. It isn’t common that an organization values their employees to the degree Penrod does and i am excited to be part of it.
Continuous improvement and ongoing development of both myself and the teams i work with. Maintaining a life-long-learner mindset and striving to implement Kaizen wherever possible are principles that Penrod seems to understand well.
The people. Absolutely outstanding people and the sense of community is extremely strong.
I retain an original research masters degree in the field of Sociology where i spent a lot of time working within an ideology called Symbolic Interactionism. As an extension of that, I have a personal goal of getting my PhD before i’m 50 and retiring as a community college professor.
Butcher and the Boar in downtown Minneapolis
Coming from an Irish family, St. Patrick’s day is a big one. We generally attend the parade in downtown St. Paul, MN and spend time with friends, but also enjoy traveling to other cities across the U.S. to experience their festivities. The best part for me is that everyone is Irish for a day!
Cheese curds from Ellsworth Creamery. If they squeak when you bite into them you know they’re fresh!
The Boundary Waters, Minnesota. Otherwise, being home with my wife and son.
High-engagement, self-starter, pretty much any adjective for someone that loves to dig in and make things happen applies.

The people who work at Penrod are definitely the best part. The talent of the people I get to work with every day has made me the leader I am today.
Teamwork is everything at Penrod. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, everyone you are working with was a new hire at one time also. Don’t be afraid to bring in new ideas either, we are constantly challenging ourselves to be better and punch above our weight classes.
We have built a culture that allows individuals to work autonomously, but also thriving on the importance of teamwork and mentorship. The team understands both the importance of working hard to achieve the highest quality for our partners and the importance of having fun while they do it. It’s like nothing else I have been apart of before.
For an after dinner drink I really enjoy ‘Club Charlies’ in the Third Ward. When traveling my favorites are ‘Little Woodrows’ in Austin and ‘Lir’ in Boston.

Calm. Cool. Collected.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It’s an amazing and beautiful city.
Blackwater Cafe, a small coffee shop in my hometown.
It’s a small, fun and ambitious company looking to build a practice around my specialty – marketing automation.
Vice President, Sales
Ernest King – he was the mastermind behind the United States’ naval and marine forces strategy in the Pacific theater of World War Two, and everything I’ve read about him makes him out to be an asshole genius. I think he would have been awesome to hang out with.
I’m spoiled in that my grandparents live in Hawaii, and I spent a couple summers with them when I was younger. As an adult I usually go there for a week or two in early spring. It’s my favorite experience because it’s paradise, and I do maintain some level of consistency with each trip (always visiting Pearl Harbor, Haleiwa, the Pali Lookout) as well as checking out new things, and most importantly, ample time on the beach and in the ocean.
Now that it’s nearly summer, my favorite place to grab a drink is Las Fuentes in Lincoln Park – pitchers of margaritas with a big group on their huge patio for hours.
Honestly, the people! During my interview process I was so impressed with the emphasis on people.
I’m excited to expand my skillset here. There’s so much to learn and so many knowledgable people to learn from!
The office dogs never fail to brighten my day.
I can make a contact mic without looking at any instructions!
Coffee or green tea.

Kobe Bryant. He has an amazing work ethic and a killer mindset. I would love to sit down and just have an open conversation with him.
Fuel Cafe. Great coffee, drinks, and food. It’s a great place to go in the summer as they have a great patio and an amazing happy hour.
The company culture. I heard great things from Brandon Alberti. I knew that Penrod was very involved in Milwaukee’s community and it’s nice to be a part of a company that gives back.

My spirit animal is JP from the movie Grandma’s Boy. I’m thinking about getting metal legs. It’s a risky operation, but it’ll be worth it.
I was homeschooled growing up. One interest I pursued in my studies was making computer games in Visual Basic. I once made a foosball game and thought it was the future of gaming (it wasn’t). But I did learn a lot about writing code that stuck with me.

David Bowie, a true innovator
Work culture is very important to me and Penrod clearly values people and culture, making them a priority. From the start of the interview process I was excited at the prospect of joining the Penrod family, and I couldn’t be happier now that I am here.
Probably a panda – forever hungry, playful but also very clumsy!
What’s your favorite travel experience and why?
I travelled to Dallas from the UK for a long distance ‘date’ 3 years ago and that was the beginning of my USA adventure. I now have a husband, a wonderful group of new friends and a fantastic new work family that have made that initial trip truly life changing.

The culture at Penrod is second to no company I have ever heard of. We are not just co-workers, we are family.
Work hard and ask questions, we are all in this together.
We work hard then play hard, there are no slackers here.
Chief People Officer
There’s a level of flexibility and autonomy that I think encourages people to take ownership and commit to continual improvement.
Jump in with both feet. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, make suggestions, and eat the best snacks.
I’m rich in Colectivo Coffee loyalty points.
Director, New Business Development and Alliances
I really enjoy the ways in which we approach tasks. Teamwork is an understatement here. We have a lot of really talented and insanely intelligent people with a variety of strengths in our office. When we come together the outcome is pretty amazing.
Don’t be afraid to dive in head first! Every single employee wants to see you succeed. We’re all here to help you.
Our company culture is energetic, dedicated, and full of life. There really is never a dull moment in or out the office with us. We come together as employees but we’re so much more than that. We are continuously planning events and company outings that keep those bonds strong.
Being in the service industry for quite some time, it was my job to get others intoxicated. With intoxication comes the bad pick up lines. I have never used any, but boy have I heard some of the worst! One that sticks out in my mind is a slurry late night man shuffling up to the bar handing him his Library card from 1990. I looked down at it and rolled my eyes thinking he wanted to use it to close out his tab. He proceeds to slur…”It’s handy I have this, because I’m checking you OUT!”

I spent the first three years out of college working as an indoor skydiving instructor, teaching customers, training instructors, and helping to manage the site. The most interesting part was my participation in rolling out the wind tunnel experience aboard cruise ships. I traveled throughout the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Western Europe, and Asia training the cruise staff and making sure the installation was enjoyable as well as safe. I was able to see a lot of really interesting things I never would have been able to otherwise.
I was really proud of myself recently wrapping up a project for a new hobby of mine. I, without any plan or expertise, bought a Honda Motorcycle from 1980 and recently got it up and running again. Six months ago I had never worked on anything with an engine, let alone tried to get one running that was almost 40 years old. I was really satisfied that I did not let a lack of experience intimidate me and just how far some enthusiasm can take you.
Be yourself and ask lots of questions!
Check out new restaurants – recently went to Snack Boys, SO good!
Snorkeling with sea turtles in Maui, and really everything Maui had to offer, I knew I would like Hawaii, but seriously it’s magical, book your trip now!
Boone & Crockett, you can’t beat the atmosphere and Old-Fashioneds, we’ll see how their new location stacks up!
The people! I know it sounds cliche but honestly with every interview I had, I knew these were my people.

It’s hard for me to pick only one thing I like most about working at Penrod, so I’ll give you two. First, the people – everyone is driven and passionate about their job, it really creates a sense of community. Second, the work – I have learned so much at Penrod and have had the opportunity to grow my skill sets as an employee which makes me excited to come to work every day.
Embrace the company culture and make it your goal to learn something new every day. We have a fast-paced company, but with the support and passion of your team you have all the tools to succeed in your career.
When I was in college I studied in Rome for a summer. Through that experience I learned that my independence is empowering, my thirst for new experiences is unquenchable, and my love for pizza is everlasting.

Be yourself and be proud of that! There are so many different kinds of people you get to work with and everyone is very accepting.

Being with a group of people who are all brilliant. There is so much fun involved but your entire team is constantly pushing you to grow and become better.
I painted our entire condo and re-did the entire kitchen – I still have paint in my hair.
The opportunities. Being an intern, I’m able to observe every possible career path available which is helpful for focusing on the skills I need for the career I want.
Fast paced and welcoming environment. There’s never a dull moment.
I have ran 4 marathons (Madison, Minneapolis, somewhere in South Dakota, and Bermuda). The Bermuda Triangle Challenge was the most exciting which included the following races: Friday: 1 mile, Saturday: 10k, Sunday: marathon. I ran it with my mother and college BFF.
Lime La Croix. Gotta stay hydrated.
I love La Merenda. It’s such a romantic setting with delicious shareable plates and crafty cocktails. I’ve gone there for every birthday and anniversary, plus many more.
Board Game night on Christmas Eve. The family gets together with a ton of snacks, apps, and drinks and we play board games til we pass out.
Buffalo wings. I’ve successfully completed the BDubs challenge twice. Pre-gaming with Pepto-Bismol is key.
Can I say Thailand even though I have never been? lol. I love Thai food and can’t wait to visit.

Definitely the people! My coworkers are the best!
Don’t hold back. This is a fun group of people in a relaxed atmosphere, all are welcome!
I have a strong passion for endangered animals and earth conservation.

The people I get to work with every day have become like family and the amazing events we get to attend and sponsor all year is the icing on the cake.
Be yourself! Everyone is embraced for who they are at Penrod, quirks and all.
My favorite travel experience was teaching in Cuenca, Ecuador. I feel like South America is a hidden gem and I’d love to do some country hopping around there someday.
Administrator, Platform Developer 1
Learning languages is a hobby of mine; I speak German and Swedish, and am (slowly…) working on Russian and Spanish as well.
The cold-brew coffee on tap. Also, the open-plan office means there is great communication between the different teams.
I’m excited to learn new skills every day. Being part of Penrod’s Development team means we get to work on everything and anything Salesforce-related, from Lightning apps and Visualforce pages, to data connectors and Heroku server apps. I love tackling technical challenges and expanding my skills toolset, so this is a huge plus for me.
The chance to work as part of a dynamic, flexible, fun, and results-driven team, in an industry that keeps on growing.
The Office is my favorite thing to watch on Netflix. Throughout the day I relate situations at work to episodes so even if I don’t share with anyone it keeps me laughing.
Being in the middle of everything right away. The early exposure to such a great amount of information makes the transition feel very organic.
I really love Salesforce so the opportunity to expand on what I know and be an asset to my team in Dallas, gets me excited.
When reading about the company culture I realized how well it aligned with my personal values. The idea of working for a company that encourages positive collaboration and accountability really spoke to me. Once I got into the interview process and started meeting people, I knew this was the place for me.

I was drawn to work at Penrod because of talent and culture the company is built on. I wanted to work at a place that every single person enjoys what they do and the place they work. It is evident in every employee that Penrod puts its people first. The company encourages growth and having a good time as much as possible, every single day.
I would love to meet Bill Murray. He seems like one of the coolest down to earth dudes ever to live. It’d be awesome to hear some of his stories over a beer.

People. Being surrounded by the perfect blend of talent and personality makes diving into new challenges a blast, and offers a lot of room for personal development because there’s so much to learn from those around me.
Build relationships with as many people as you can early on. Penrod is all about teamwork, and having trust and rapport with everyone will make asking for help, and working together much easier.
Penrod’s culture is built around helping each other and having fun. Everyone works incredibly hard and the culture rewards that hard work.
I’ve been told by the Penrod office that I am a Hawk. I quietly circle around, observing everything, and then swoop in to either take action or deliver value when necessary.
I was always drawn to the energy of Penrod. I’ve seriously never witnessed so many smiling employees before and always wanted to be a part it. Dreams do come true.
My most useless talent is the ability to sleep through anything. As an example, I have twice in my life, woken up to firemen standing over me.

I am going to get greedy and say that I would like to meet Michael Jordan and Kip Moore and golf 18 holes with them. Michael Jordan because he was my childhood idol and Kip Moore because I think it would be fun to hear about what drove him to write some of his songs. His lyrics are very relatable to me so it would be interesting to hear his stories.
I forgot your name…can I call you mine? I’ve never thought to use it which is probably a good thing.
My favorite place to grab a cup of coffee would probably be at Starbucks on Brady street and then walk along the lake. Jack’s American Pub or The Garage are definitely my go to watering holes.

Hiking in Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile. The views were absolutely incredible and the sense of accomplishment at the end of a 7 day trail-hike is amazing.
I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until I was 21 (and I am still pretty bad at it).
Determined. Compassionate. Ninja.
I would consider myself very good at ironing, where I’m usually asked to iron other people’s clothes for them, pro bono.
Chris Rock. He’s an incredibly bright and insightful comic that I’d love to share a drink and conversation with.
Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan. Nothing compares to the culture, history, food, and fashion
A red panda. They’re a living fossil that hasn’t evolved for millions of years but just adapted themselves to the world around them.
I’m ambidextrous so I can write with both hands.
I love that everyday is different. There’s no routine and I come in not knowing what to expect. I also love interacting with everyone.
I’m excited about actually enjoying a 40 hour work week. I was a little worried about that concept coming out of school but now I’m finding that I’m so excited to come to work everyday.
I heard of the company through Marquette who saw it on linked in and I heard it was a start up with younger people who were known for being forward thinking. Then when I interviewed with Gabe – Penrod’s Talent Acquisition Manager, he made it sound like a great place to work. Once I saw the office and met more people, I knew it was the right fit.
I saw an opportunity to be challenged and grow with a company full of fantastic people. Penrod’s core values lined up with my own and I felt that this was a company I want to be at.
Being pushed in a environment that supports me so that I can grow and develop my skills.
I didn’t move for this job, but would have now that I know what it’s like working here.
I love coming in to work. The people here are great and supportive. There is no negativity and only a positive vibe throughout the office.
I have a dual citizenship with Germany and the US. (I was born in the US)
I know this is boring, but I LOVE water 🙂
