Top 5 Dreamforce Takeaways

With 170,000 attendees, Dreamforce 2016 was the largest gathering of customer trailblazers, partners and Salesforce.com professionals in the world. The Dreampark was jam-packed with innovation, compelling conversation and of course, plenty of entertainment. Each year Salesforce uses this wildly successful event to showcase the newest products and trends.

Below are some of our favorites.

# 1 – Have you met Einstein?

Salesforce Einstein was the star of the show this year, being heavily featured in Benioff’s keynote address, numerous breakout sessions, as well as in its own individual product keynote. Einstein is a new ingredient in the Salesforce.com platform that makes artificial intelligence accessible to everyone. Einstein is powered by advanced machine learning, predictive analytics, natural language processing and smart data discovery. By removing the complexities of AI, Salesforce.com will enable companies to deliver a smarter and a more personalized customer experience, getting smarter and adapting with every interaction.

Einstein is transforming the world’s #1 CRM into the world’s smartest CRM and it’s all done in the cloud.

# 2 – Boost productivity with Quip

With the acquisition of Quip in August, Salesforce.com users are more productive than ever! Quip, known as the “living document”, helps teams be more connected through enhanced collaboration.

At Dreamforce, Salesforce announced that Quip will be accessible via single sign-on making the application much more accessible. In addition, it was announced that a Lightning Component for Quip is on it’s way! This will enable teams to access their Quip Living Documents on the platform and extend capabilities into other SFDC applications.

# 3 – The New Quote-to-Cash Tool A Dreamforce first!

For the first time ever, Salesforce Quote-to-Cash experts presented a home-grown CPQ solution. Salesforce.com’s investment in Configure, Price, Quote Software has been an invaluable addition to the company’s growing platform. Salesforce Quote-to-Cash offers an easy delivery solution for sales quotes, contracts and invoices in one Customer Success Platform. This provides an improved method of forecasting and allows customers to collect payments faster.

# 4 – Bringing Lightning to your Community

Community Cloud has been revitalized to deliver faster, smarter and more customizable communities and portals. With the debut of Lightning Bolt, customers are now able to accelerate the creation of customer experiences. Salesforce.com Community Cloud experts offered users hands on demonstration in the Community Cloud Campground, allowing a behind the scenes peek at Lightning’s intuitive features.

# 5 – Build, test and improve with Pardot Engagement Studio

The Pardot team was excited to announce the availability of Engagement Studio enabling B2B marketers an entirely new way to view customer journeys.

Engagement Studio allows marketers to easily build engagement campaigns that allow for a more personalized experience based on behavior and demographic data. Marketers can then follow the path of their customers and test decisions to allow for successful campaigns from the get go. Once a campaign is launched, keeping everyone up to date on relevant metrics is easier than ever. Pardot Engagement Studio is truly innovating the way B2B marketers build, test and improve marketing campaigns.

As always, Dreamforce left us feeling more inspired than ever. “The more we can bring to our clients, the more we can help build and customize solutions that fit their needs,” said director of sales, Drew Thornsberry. “Due to the scope of information brought back from this event, we’re inviting individuals in the Salesforce.com community to learn more about these products in our new corporate headquarters.”
