I have five siblings who I was homeschooled with until my first year of high school.

Deep in the north woods of Wisconsin, or really, anywhere I can be surrounded by trees.

What is your best quality?

I’m a good listener, so come to me with your problems and vent away!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

So many things! I love discovering new music, reading historical fiction, and making experimental recipes in my tiny kitchen. You can also catch me browsing local thrift stores and making various art projects, that is, when the creative impulse compels me.

Put yourself in uncomfortable situations where you are forced to learn something. Find something new to learn each week, month, or year and broaden your skill set.

What’s your favorite dinner spot?

My wife and I moved from NYC to Jersey City soon after we had our son over a year ago. This is such a family-friendly city, there are plenty of comfortable options to choose; however, our go-to is a spot called Hudson Hound – an Irish Pub that is great with the kiddos, has excellent food and drinks, and during the warm months, has a bunch of outdoor tables allowing us to bring our dog along for dinner!

What’s your favorite Holiday Tradition?

Hosting friends and family in NYC to experience the city during Christmas – the Rockefeller tree, Radio City Music Hall, the shops along 5th ave. – it’s quite the experience, and I love to be a tour guide during this beautiful period in the city.

What is your best quality?

Vulnerability – what you see is what you get! I was told to bring my authentic self to Penrod and I look forward to doing just that!

Reputation in the Salesforce ecosystem is top notch. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a number of recruiters as a practice lead at several Salesforce consulting firms, and as a result, get inside knowledge on consultant satisfaction and reputation – Penrod scored high and both, which definitely influenced my decision to join.

What’s your favorite place in the world?

Costa Rica – it’s a place my wife and I keep going back to! Last Thanksgiving, we brought our son (6 months old at the time) and met some of our Colorado friends and California Family there to spend a couple of weeks in the jungle.

What advice do you have for new hires?

Consulting is hard. It’s going to offer challenging days and you’re going to face things you haven’t encountered before. Be prepared to tackle these challenges head on, fail sometimes, and learn often. Penrod is comprised of some of the most talented consultants I’ve worked with, so support is always nearby. Prepare yourself for this environment prior to Day 1, embrace it when you’re here, and I promise you’ll grow quickly, learn a ton, and have a bunch of fun along the way!

Teamwork is everything at Penrod. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, everyone you are working with was a new hire at one time also. Don’t be afraid to bring in new ideas either, we are constantly challenging ourselves to be better and punch above our weight classes.

How would you describe Penrod’s company culture?

We have built a culture that allows individuals to work autonomously, but also thriving on the importance of teamwork and mentorship. The team understands both the importance of working hard to achieve the highest quality for our partners and the importance of having fun while they do it. It’s like nothing else I have been apart of before.

For an after dinner drink I really enjoy ‘Club Charlies’ in the Third Ward. When traveling my favorites are ‘Little Woodrows’ in Austin and ‘Lir’ in Boston.

At my old internship, my supervisor and many of my teammates got their start at Penrod, and I looked up to all of them. My supervisor was the one who encouraged me to stay in Salesforce development and gave me a recommendation to work here, and I’m really glad I took his advice.

What are you most excited for at Penrod?

It’s a great opportunity for experience and growth as a developer! I’ll get exposure to many more types of projects and tackle a wider variety of problems than I would working somewhere else. Getting to do all of that while working with the great people here is a huge plus.

Did you move for this job? If so, what made you decide to move?

I didn’t have to move and I’m super happy about that. I love Milwaukee.

What do you like the most about your job so far?

Everybody here is really nice and creates a great atmosphere. I’ve already seen so much support from people for achievements on and off the clock, and there’s so much cross-communication between teams that you can have a casual conversation with an executive without realizing it.

What’s something interesting about you?

I went into a more design-oriented major in college because I wasn’t sure if I had what it took to major in software engineering. I ended up taking some extra software courses and interned in a software development role before I graduated, and now here I am working as a Salesforce developer! I guess I really proved myself wrong.

Goldfish, Teddy Grahams, fruit snacks, if it’s made for kids then I probably like it.

I got to visit Italy once in high school and loved it. I can’t wait until I have the chance to go back again.

I grew up in a French Vineyard and my first job ever was to prune vines and harvest grapes. I loved it so much! Oh, and I’m also the second baby born in France in year 1991.

Who would you most like to meet and why?

Ernest King – he was the mastermind behind the United States’ naval and marine forces strategy in the Pacific theater of World War Two, and everything I’ve read about him makes him out to be an asshole genius. I think he would have been awesome to hang out with.

What’s your favorite travel experience and why?

I’m spoiled in that my grandparents live in Hawaii, and I spent a couple summers with them when I was younger. As an adult I usually go there for a week or two in early spring. It’s my favorite experience because it’s paradise, and I do maintain some level of consistency with each trip (always visiting Pearl Harbor, Haleiwa, the Pali Lookout) as well as checking out new things, and most importantly, ample time on the beach and in the ocean.

Now that it’s nearly summer, my favorite place to grab a drink is Las Fuentes in Lincoln Park – pitchers of margaritas with a big group on their huge patio for hours.

I live in the mountains near Breckenridge CO at over 10,000 ft. I’m passionate about skiing and the outdoors. For several years, I was a volunteer ski patroller at Loveland mountain in CO. It was hard work, but so rewarding. Now I am sharing my passion of the mountains with my young kids.

Cutting down our Christmas tree with the family. We live next to the national forest and make the family trek (often in skis or snowshoes) to find the perfect little, happy tree (with a permit, of course).

What’s something interesting about you?

I am a certified light air skipper. I took sailing lessons at the Milwaukee Sailing Center last summer and passed my certification test. I would not trust myself to skipper a boat yet on my own though!

Casino gifts. My in laws are retired and love to gamble. They travel around to casinos in the area and collect all of the free gifts that are offered. We do a lottery where you draw a number and get to pick from the pile of gifts when your number is called. There are some really interesting prizes that have come out of it, it actually gets pretty competitive!

What’s your favorite place in the world?

Captiva Island in Florida. We have been going there with my entire family for about a decade now. My favorite memories are spending time with my nieces and nephews swimming, looking for seashells and going out fishing.

My energy. I am a pretty high energy person and enjoy a fast paced, high energy environment.

I painted our entire condo and re-did the entire kitchen – I still have paint in my hair.

It varies by the month, but the current favorite is my home kitchen – followed closely by takeout from China East.

The Grand Canyon at sunset.

Most of my time is spent restoring my 1920’s Bungalow to its original glory, cooking tasty food, watching good or bad TV, and playing my Nintendo Switch.

What are you most excited for at Penrod?

The way that Penrod structures their teams and allows us to collaborate with each other really excites me. This isn’t a company where we do our work, log off and punch in the time. The people here get to know each other, they are friends with each other. I have seen how beneficial this is in morale, and also in knowing who to go to to make sure our clients get the best outcomes.

It’s the people for me. Everyone at Penrod is here because they want to be, and because they are good at what they do. Everyday I get to see people enjoying their work, thriving in their continued learning and steadfastly supporting each other.

I have an extreme pet peeve of books that have the TV show/Movie cover on them. I won’t let anyone in my house buy them.

Michael Jordan because he was my childhood idol and Kip Moore because I think it would be fun to hear about what drove him to write some of his songs. His lyrics are very relatable to me so it would be interesting to hear his stories.

I forgot your name…can I call you mine? I’ve never thought to use it which is probably a good thing.

Favorite place to grab coffee/an after dinner?

My favorite place to grab a cup of coffee would probably be at Starbucks on Brady street and then walk along the lake. Jack’s American Pub or The Garage are definitely my go to watering holes.

Hiking in Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile. The views were absolutely incredible and the sense of accomplishment at the end of a 7 day trail-hike is amazing.

I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until I was 21 (and I am still pretty bad at it).

I’m ambidextrous so I can write with both hands.
