It’s that time again when the leaves start to turn, pumpkin spice everything appears, and the Bay Area starts to buzz. That’s right, Dreamforce is almost here!

The Penrod team is set to descend on San Francisco for Dreamforce 2019 on November 19th. We had a blast last year and wondered if the Salesforce masterminds could do it again. With more than 50 keynotes and 2,700 sessions, there is no question. They have.

Of course, no one person can take it all in. That’s why we decided to divide and conquer, sending staff who focus on all aspects of Salesforce to the event. Here is what they want to see, do, and learn at Dreamforce 2019.

New Product Launches, Enhancements and Integrations

Marketing Director Matt Fiel isn’t new to Salesforce, but he’s new to Penrod, so he’s looking forward to getting the full Dreamforce experience with the team.
I want to gain inspiration for new ideas and help maintain Penrod’s status as thought leaders. There are always new product launches at Dreamforce. My goal is to learn about the ones that will transform our clients’ business.”

Marketing Director Cory Reynolds is looking forward to “everything,” but when pressed, he says he’s especially interested in what’s coming next for Salesforce marketing tools, like the Datorama integration with Marketing Cloud.

“There’s a lot I want to see from a tech development aspect,” says Keegan Tague, Penrod’s Platform Lead. “I went to a lot of HealthCloud stuff last year, and that was great. I’m also going to check out more Field Service Lightning sessions this year, like FSL mobile enhancements.”

Jake Brushafer, one of our tech gurus (affectionately referred to as The Batman), is also looking forward to learning about the latest and greatest features that will be unveiled. But as he wisely points out:

“Salesforce is always the gold standard  – so I’m looking forward to learning new ways to maximize them.”

Ryan Banks, Penrod’s Director of Platform, agrees. I’m looking forward to learning about new uses, as well as new functionality, other architecture strategies, and product offerings used to solve complex use cases in the Health and Life Sciences arena.”

Ryan also lists the partner sessions as a must-attend. “The nuggets of wisdom that come out of those sessions is great. Especially the transparency – good and bad decisions and what came of each. That’s what leads to true innovation.”

Face-to-face connection

Everyone at Penrod agrees that the face-to-face time at Dreamforce is priceless. “I love getting to see so many of my clients,” says Tara Vandygriff, Penrod’s Customer Engagement Manager. “Not only is the facetime great for building our relationships and getting to know clients better, but we also get to share the excitement around the new and revolutionary things Salesforce is doing!”

Keegan echoes this sentiment. It’s great to see clients in person, as well as catch up with friends in the industry. You share a lot of ideas, chat about what’s new, and get tips about what you should check out.”

Penrod career fair

Dreamforce is not just full of learning opportunities; it has a bevvy of career opportunities as well. That’s why the entire Penrod team is excited to have a presence at TrailheaDX, the Dreamforce career fair. Whether you’re new-ish to Salesforce or have a few years under your belt, are a developer or an admin, it’s a great place to network with employers in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Gabe Bickus, Talent Acquisition Manager, is playing a prominent role in coordinating the booth. “I’m excited to help host the career fair and meet with some candidates,” he says. “It’s a great place to learn about what’s new, and also meet some very talented people who could be a great fit for Penrod. Be sure to stop by!”
